Meeting Minutes
“Where it all began”

Dinner was at 6:00 p.m. with the St Patrick day theme by Yolanda.
President Sam Anderson, called the meeting to order at 6:50 p.m.

Attendance:

2nd Vice President Carl Kovach - Present
Treasurer Diane Mix - Absent
Secretary Donna Haynes - Present
There were 7 in attendance.

Flag Salute by all.
Both Treasurer and Chapter Minutes are to be brought up to date at May Meeting.

D-TAC will be April 7, 2015 in Moreno Valley given by Donna Anderson from the DOE.

Old Business:

Workshop on January 31, 2015 had good reviews. Asking some of the teachers and speakers to return for next year Workshop. Lunch was great, thinking if having Spaghetti for lunch, also next year.

Sam handed out new postings for the Roadeo, it changed from February 21st to April 11, 2015 in Devore. Roadeo set-up will be April 10, 2015 for anyone wanting to come out and help setup.
Talked about the prizes and trophies for the Roadeo (list on file).
Mary Birmingham will order the Porta Potties, and A-Z is supplying lunch. Donna Haynes asked if we could help A-Z and supply the lettuce, tomatoes and sliced onion. Sam asked Yolanda to pick those items up.

New Business:

Sam reported on the State Board Meeting he went to last month.
  • No new information on Bingo Funds
  • New Board was voted in. New Board will change in July.
  • A redesigned web site castoways.org
  • Next State Board Meeting will be held in Ontario CA, June 13, 2015

Department of Education has changed prices to be a Delegated Trainer.  The new fee is $150.00 a class. (If you fail, its another $150.00)

Local Poster Contest Winner is: Emma Caraveo
2nd Grader,7 years old
Cornerstone Christian, Hemet
Teacher: Melanie Hernandez

She was picked out by the Chapter, and will receive $100.00 for being selected out of all posters received.  In addition her class will receive $100.00 for a class party.  Nice job Emma.

Next meeting will be May 12th, 2013 at the Redlands Transportation Yard. At this meeting we will be Nominating the Chapter One Board for the coming year. If you are interested in being a board member for the Chapter, please submit your name and the position you would like to be nominated for (President, Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Treasurer or Secretary). Next Chapter Meeting

Chapter One Next Meeting is May 12, 2015

Time: Dinner at 6:00 pm with meeting soon follow.

Location:  Redlands Transportation Office (Bus Yard).  On the corner of E. Citrus Avenue and E. Central Avenue.

1) From Los Angeles take the 10 Freeway exit University make a right on University, make aright at the Citrus and a right on Central.

2) From Palm Springs take 10 Freeway exit E. Cypress Avenue Left on Cypress, Right on University, Left on Citrus then Right on Central.
